I replaced a stuck front passenger side brake caliper and associated pads on my '85 MB 300TD. The pads on the front driver side still have a lot of life left (~70%).

I have read that you should also replace all the pads on an axle at the same time.

Do I need to replace the pads on the front driver's side even though they're still thick?
