Does moving the key back so the fan works fix the other problem as well? Now that you know the little trick, you could just live with. I still naturally bump my key back even though I've replaced the key switch. It still moves ever so slightly so I like to think I'll make this one last at least 300k miles instead of the other one failing at 250k. These old MB's are junk.
