I'm currently running Mobil 1 15W-30 oil in my 300D. It's been about 5,000 miles, and just about time for an oil change. Many here recommend Mobil 1/Delvac1 5W-40 Truck/SUV oil, and I have considered switching to it. I've noticed that quite a few dieselers in the warmer climates use a heavier weight oil, like what my 300D currently uses. Is there something wrong with using a lighter weight oil in a warm climate?
