On the middle exhaust shield (over cat) the front of it bolts to the chassis stiffener just behind the trans mount and the rear of it mounts to a pair of spacers (so I've been told by a reliable source) . I can't find the part at the dealer, his program shows it bolting directly to the floorpan. Can anyone help with a part number, I know there has to be some obscure place in the parts catalog that it's hiding in.
I remember on my 123 looking for a part on the throttle linkage, we looked under all the normal places and finally found it listed with the cam cover parts (because it bolted to a bracket that was bolted to the cover
) Gotta love that german logic.
