I have a cable that I can use to download pictures and video clips from my phone to my PC. The video clips come through as .3g2 files. How do I convert these files to something Windows Media Player can read? There are a number of converters available for download. Which are least likely to be bundled with adware and spyware and such?

If this involves codecs, what should I know about codecs?
