I have a 1990 200TE which won't petrol pump for the 5? seconds before starting when it is warm, maybe every one in ten starts. I don't get that whirring noise. I leave it a minute or two and it pumps and starts. I lived with it. Now the engine has started to die when going along (strangely round left hand corners but this may be coincidence?). Again leave it and it starts fine? I thought the faults may be connected and it might be a bad connection on my pump relay board but don't know where it is. Also my petrol pump makes quite a noise under normal running conditions. Should I replace it?
