Further to my post of 31st May, (94, 600 SEL)many thanks to all who've replied. Car went into "limp home" mode twice yesterday in only 20 miles of driving.
I've noticed that the red indicator light on the snow chain switch is permanently on (but very faintly) regardless of the switches position. Could anyone offer an opinion on whether this could have an effect with the ASR light coming on and the car going into "limp home" mode?
Also, can anything be purposefully modified/disconnected so not to allow the "limp home" mode to come into operation?
