My friend's 1995 or 6 S350D dented it's own driver's side door.

The spring inside the door that holds tension for the door to stop at 3 phases when opened, broke and poked a dent into the outside of the door !!

Dealership charged like $400 to replace spring and owner pushed in the dent, but the crease remains. No paint loss.

Just another thing to look out for !

(He had the engine replaced about 2 yrs ago.)
