Mercedes Benz sheet 229.3 approved oils and MB sheet 229.5 approved oils (MB Longlife Service Oils) list the following oil (among others): "Mobile 1 SuperSyn European Car Formula 0W-40". This is the oil that I use in my 1999 SL500 Sport.
