V8 to V7 conversion

This is a strange request I know but, I have an '85 380SE I have been driving for around 18 months now. I got it off of some friends in need. Long story.
It has always had a dead miss on #2. Compression test says its weak (65lbs) and looking at the removed plug I suspect its a broken ring.
I plan on using this car as a doner for the SD project I am working on. 'Till then I am going to drive the life out of it.

My question is:
Is there an easy way to clamp off #2 fuel line so its not dumping raw fuel out the exhaust?
Will this upset the fuel injection balance?

Flame suit on. But its a challenge now to see how far she goes before I have to part her out.
Just can't justify the expense of a rebuild on this one.

BTW, the PO never changed the oil in the two yrs they had it. Its odometer stopped at 231K before I ever got it. Amazing how tough the MB engines are.
