Well I got to drive it and everything is not so good.
The suspension is tight it was gone through not to long ago and is tight. Also most things seem to work even the sunroof. The trans shifts fine as well; but and this is a big but the engine has tons of blow-by!
It looks like a steam engine when I pull off the breather hose! Oil is leaking from the air cleaner and turbo seals because of the pressure. It also has a skip, that could be a few things maybe a dead cylinder. But it fired right off after sitting for a month with dead glow plugs, and drives fine, it is no 603 but has plenty of power. I took it up on the highway and it drives just fine.
The massive amount of blow by bothers me, the car needs a battery and oil cooler lines along with glow plugs. The owner wants $500 for it, I think thats to much. I am thinking $200, it really is a beater I would just drive it till it blows.
I did the block the breather hose and see how long it takes to shut down test. I got 4-5 seconds.
