blower trouble

I got a new or remanufactured blower for my w126 and I think it may be defective. The blower circuit on my board blew twice! I measured the resistance across the blower leads and it was only 5 Ohms(anyone know what that should be). I jumped the blower lead on the circuit and the blower blew for a while. I jumped some more leads. I plugged the CCU in on my way to work to try to stop the heat and the blower kicked on for about 20 seconds before going away. I would have to read more but I am guessing I have a motor that is drawing to much current?
