Here's the problem:

Whenever I put the car into drive or reverse and the wheels are turned tight the engine tends to cute out. This only happens when the car is stopped - I can turn tight circles when its already moving.

It's not such a big deal but getting out of parking and tight spaces can be a right pain in the a**.

The car is a 1969 Mercedes 250CE, petrol, automatic transmission, power steering.
