I'd pull the dash out, and then the speedo/odo combo...sounds like it might just need some spring cleaning. You'll find plenty of instructions on dash removal using the search function. Good Luck!

oh yeah, be sure to check the speedo cable, make sure it didn't unscrew it self over time.
