It appears that the rear tail light assembly has failed on the right side of my W210 97 E420. The Brake light does not light up even though the main tail light (which is the same bulb) does. I have replaced the bulb a number of times without any success. I think this may be an issue with the assembly itself. If so, is this a known issue? is there a fix?

Any advise would be appreciated.
