Been there, done that, hated it. Bought all parts from these guys. Just tell them what you are doing and they'll get you the right stuff. It's a bloody-knuckle job, but it is doable for a good DIY mechanic.
On My 2.6, there is one BOLT that has to be sealed. Seemed bizzarre to me, but many before me warned me about it.
Replace the tensioner. Mine has been replaced twice now in <120K miles.
You have to take it out anyway, so go for it. Tensioning was easy. getting the blasted fan clutch out was a challenge.
