Does the starmark warranty cover corrosion?
I looked at a car today, and i'm ready to buy except for one issue.
The car is a 2000 c230k, immaculate condition, all MB serviced. It was a lease return that was then purchased starmark certified.
It has a SMALL about the size of half dollar rust bubble on the trunk basically between the lip where the licence plate lights are and the top left plate mounting screw. The trunk appears original, and the vin tag is still intact.
The car was starmarked, and apparently this transfers to the new owner, so i'm wondering if the starmark warranty covers corrosion. Apparently the mb warranty for corrosion is a measly 48 mo / 50k miles these days.
Also, two of the led segments in the odometer did not appear to be lit, i've heard this is a common problem on these cars. Would this be covered on the starmark warranty?
Thanks in advance,
George
