OK, everything seems to be working well, thanks for all the input

To follow up & conclude:

1) The CE light went out after changing the plugs\connecters, and after several (3 I think) driving cycles, the computer just blinks once at me, so I know my emissions system is fine

2) I took out all the exterior light bulbs and reseated them, and a couple did feel loose (or at least they came out eaiser than most), and now the "check exterior lights" light no longer comes on, so that problem is fixed

3) Thanks Authur for that diagram, I'll assemble it tonight
