Thanks for the reply. Do you think it could be the driveshaft support bearing or the flex disc?
How will I know for sure? I am guetting confused as I thought I heard the noise right where the dif. is. Yes, the flex disc is right there too but how would that one contribute to the whining noise? The midship bearing if it means the driveshaft support bearing I think I can understand that it could and that noise can travel in funny ways. I put a stetoscope against the differential but I could not make out anything as I heard nothing. So maybe you are right.
