'98 E300Turbo Diesel....

9 times out of 10 the blower will work,occasionally it will hang up,especially when restarted after a long,hot run.

Searched the archives and learned all about blower regulators,etc.

Today,out of desperation in the hot,humid weather when the blower was kaput I removed the panel underneath the glovebox and SLAMMED my hand upward and PRESTO!the blower came on instantly,so what does this tell you?bad connections? dry blower motor bearings?dodgy regulator?

What should I begin looking for?
