Lower ball joints,without doubt,as mentioned above.

Same thing on my previous BMW and current '84 300 Turbo Diesel.

Torn rubber boots, turn the wheel left full lock and the ball joint will be accessible to shoot oil onto it,then do the right side.

Dependent upon the degree of wear this should last a couple of days to a week or more.
