It was the relay on the side of the sunroof motor assembly !

I had the exact same thing happen just this morning, the roof opens but does not close, except by using the manual crank in the trunk (Thankfully!). Very interested in the solution since the AC has not worked on this car since I've owned it and FLA is hot as stink in the summer...

Cheers!
After countless hours and frustration I bought a working motor assembly through Ebay. Just for the heck of it before I tackled the job, I just switched the relay module that plugs in to the side of the unit and all is well now the sunroof works great! If you need the motor assembly less of course the relay I have one.
ALSO with regards to the AC -- mine also did not work and contrary to the experts advise I bought and installed a $39.00 retrofit kit that comes with the fittings, freon and sealer - ( the experts call it a suicide kit because it may only last a season or two - but as long as it works for now, who cares?) For the past few weeks the temperatures up here in Toronto, Canada have been in the high 80 and low 90's ( 30 C to 34 C with much higher humidex)and so far my AC also works great!
