That sounds like a good place to look, I checked the dash switch this morning and it had good continuity, next I will make sure the voltage is actually getting to the end of the cable at the motor, then tackle the relay as you mentioned. Is the relay a servicable item, I mean can you take it apart and clean it up, re-solder, or whatever?
