I know what you mean. I was just at my local place yesterday- the 123 280E they had got not too long ago was already gone. The interior was actually decent on it and I had fired it up when I had first seen it, and it ran well too, albeit no exhaust. There was a cherry 300E there as well thats been there awhile that was missing its head. I had made him promise awhile back not to crush it- he said the other day he was going to sell the car as a whole now, but still let me get the cornermarker and taillight I needed from it
He also has had a 250S and a burgundy 87 300D thats just showed up. He told me I'm not allowed to touch the 300D yet
Its complete with tags still on it, I wonder whats wrong with it...
Just so they know they're not allowed to crush any more mercedes as long as I'm still around. For $75 yesterday I got a TON of parts I needed for that "two tone" 300SD I got from ebay a few weeks back, plus the W124 parts as well. New black trunk liner set, instrument cluster, seat switches, all outer window trim (was new on the wrecked SD), the rear glass chrome trim (over $200 for this new) and much much more...
I'm tempted to go back there an get the black dash out of it. The brown one in this car has some cracks, but even worse,it's BROWN!
