Don't do it until you are over 40. Nobody under 40 should take a mind-numbing job. As long as you curiosity, initiative, and any ambition, stay away from USPS or any gov job.

When you get to be an ol' faahrt, you can take one and do well, because you have seen and experienced many forms of human depravity and are innured to the realization that life is unfair and no matter what, you're probably going to get screwed. If you're exposed too young, you think about ways of improving your lot. You are not capable of understanding that you cannot. All in all, you're just another brick in teh wall. From that harsh lesson at a tender age, young guys get into AK's and vengeance fantasies.
