Good luck -no sarcasm there either.
That vehicle is exactly as you stated "a project car". The mis-fire complaint is an on going adventure with MB. Coils, ignition modules, ECU's, software updates, plugs, front cover modifications. There's no quick fix, or quick check for that.
Just pulling the coils on that car is a pain in the butt for a DIY'er.
If your dealer goes by the lastest and greatest service bulletin, regarding that vehicle w/ mis-fires. They're gonna want to pull the coils and check for
scorching, and then pull the plugs and check for oil or gas contamination.
So just to get started expect a five hour check out time at best. And be prepared to go from there. Keep us posted.
