use a sharp blade to cut it as close to the paint as you can, and then get a "eraser" from the tool store, they are use for removing decals, eastwood sells them but they cost an arm and a leg from them. i have one from them that was like 99 bucks and one from my local tool store that was like 6 bucks.....cant tell the diff. sometimes called pinstriping eraser too
