yea I knew I could have taken them out as one piece. the parts were really filthy so I decided to give them a good cleaning. I dont see why I would have to take out the chain rail on the drivers side. could I not just remove the cam sprocket with the chain on and keep tension on it as to not lose timing at the crank? would this cause problems during reassembly? and thanks for the no pressure seating tip. I did the heads on a v6 and should have known that before.
