We we got it home we noticed the stick shift is bent and twisted a little, as if someone steped on it while the windshield was out.
Does the stick lever screw into something or is it bolted into something?
The knob is now off center and looking at the 1:00 position. Can I replace the stick shaft under the knob?
We were so happy to get the car back, the shift knob we thought was just twisted, but it looks like the shaft is bent toward the driver.\
Thanks

A few years ago I replaced the standard shifter in my 1991 420SEL with a wood one. If I can find the old leather one (somewhere i my garage) I'll send it to you. I just have to find it.
