'96 C220 Brake Pad Shims
Workin on my front brakes- The old pads had wrap-around metal shims that grab onto the sides of the pad. Are these factory?
The new pads I have came with a different style shim. They are aluminum with 3 dimples and an adhesive side. The adhesive side uses the dimples to stay in place.
Which sould I use? Both?
Also, I had to remove the brake line from the front driver side calliper. The piston was too far out, and for some reason I couldnt get it back in with a c-clamp. My question is about bleeding... I bled both front brakes 2-man style. Is it necessary to bleed all 4 wheels now? SHould I bother with taking it to a brake shop to bleed all 4 the right way? I seems like an important thing.
TIA
