I had a suspicion something must have been up with the new 112/113 engines. Earlier engines ran for hundreds of thousands of miles on regular oil. Seems here that Mercedes Benz has fallen victim to their own (over?)engineering. Is it that the tolerances are so tight that particles caught between the oil ring and channel aren't releasing? Wow...
