Sorry for the double post on tranny but I need some help ASAP.

I emptied the converter and next was the tranny drain plug but it #@%^$*&% stripped. The black paint covering the pan was continuous to the oil plug meaning you could not see the seperetion between the plug and the pan.
I am assuming when the replaced the tranny oil before, they just took the whole pan out and not the drain plug (this is the first time I am doing the tranny oil since I got the car).

Here is the question:

If I unbolt the the tranny pan out, how much oil is there? I am in for a tranny fluid bath? I am assuming that it pan can hold about 3 liters (enough for the whole oil minus the one in the converter), is this correct?
