I also have a bad AC evap temp sensor on my 1998 C280. (reading 145 at engine off and on). Undid the dash (5 philips screws) but did not remove the large white screw at the accelerator pedal. The panel was left hanging due to Hood cable and OBD module wiriing still attached to the panel. This allows very little room to poke around. I think I could see the sensor (the original is white! on my car) but unable to get to it. Any tips to undo the final wires/cables?? for clean access to the underside and on the left side of the console??
