UPDATE:

well I still dont know what the problem was, but I took the BE1492 out of my other E420 and it works. So....something is wrong with the radio itself. Who knows. Not sure if its fixable or not. there may be fuse inside the radio that died. I dont know. I'll open it up someday and find out.
