If you check what I had originally written, I had looked in the archives and found a similar problem on a Euro W202. I was trying to get someone to verify this could be the problem with my R129. No one wrote until this week, some months after the initial problem.
What I tried, in order to remedy the problem, was to buy another pair of matching Yokos. The cruise control then operated normally. And its worked well through many trips since then between Cincinnati and St Louis, and a trip from St Louis to Key West and back!
