I would appreciate any experienced opinions and advice one might have on
my current transmission malfunction.
About 9 months ago I think I first noticed a slight delay in the transmission engaging when shifted into reverse. The delay seems to have gotten a little worse over over the past 2K miles. I find myself shifting into park from drive and then into reverse to try to minimise the delay.
I had a 69 280sec that started acting like this just before the tranny went out.
I hope the sl isn't on the same course.
Is there a transmission band that I can adjust to correct this problem or is my
tranny "IN THE TOASTER" preparing to pop!
