I disagree with theairboys' statement about MBs' history of electrical issues. Modern MBs' have a huge number of "glitches" affecting everything from the 722.9 transmission to navigation systems. In many cases the culprit is software. Of course there are many hardware issues as well. Crankshaft/camshaft position sensors regularly fail in addition to various control modules. It's no small wonder that MB service departments are always busy!
