The 126 doesnt have much of bushings than compared to the 124. Its most likely the shock absorbers (as the spring is known to last for yonks).
Having said that, there are some little bushings at the rear lower arm that sits right beneath the passenger cabin. That too is known to last for yonks - but once replaced (or so I was told), the ride is as good as new.
Other possible options to look at : tyre wear and pressure, or lower arm joints/bushes.
