I assume you have the auto dimming rearview mirror. If so, that is the electro-chromatic fluid, the stuff that tints it darker when electric current is applied to it (when the photo-sensor detects headlights behind you). This is the first time I have ever heard of one just springing a leak, but I guess it is possible (or, did it get hit?)
