If you have any car that uses the same bulb for both high and low beams, converting to most HID systems, means you *LOSE* your hi-beams.

I like having a backup should my lights fail, and when (not if) those HID eletronics fail I would hate to be without headlamps. I don't have driving lights, and my fogs are set very low.

I ran across this while researching a Philips-based HID conversion for my Euro headlamps on a W124.

Note- I said Philips-based. Philips does NOT engineer these kits. Distributors merely put together the pieces, and change the sockets to H4, 9005, 9006, etc.
