Interesting. I noticed the EXACT same thing with mine about a month ago.

I cannot detect any leakage as far as I can tell, but there definitely is a loss of some fluid as about 3-4mm near the top appears to be absent of this mystery fluid.

I'm not pleased with the issue, but I'm living with it. Perhaps I'll make a stop at the local dealership and see if any other MLs came in with the same issues?
