I have a 1988 190D which needs a new instrument cluster (because the clock and odometer do not work). I found an instrument cluster on ebay for $20.00 from a 1986 190E. The seller sent me a pic, and it looks like his having an extra meter (a fuel efficiency guage) is the only difference.

I'm wondering if the clusters are interchangeable. I need to decide whether to buy this one from the 190E or to keep looking for one from a 190D.

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
