The motor and gear assembly comes out as one piece. I think 3 bolts holds it in place. You will need to unsolder the wire connections I did mine at the switch. The switch comes apart easy.Pay attention where each wire goes. I had bad wires on both my 84 in the door jambs. After years of opening and closing the doors the wires broke.
