There is no answer that all agree on.

Some people knock mom-n-pop places, but I recently heard a local repair shop owner say he's finding alcohol(excessive amts.) in the fuel distributed by the major fuel companies.

I run 93 octane in my MB and have recently experienced knocking. I'm beginning to suspect that super unleaded and unleaded in some cases are now one in the same.

With the price of fuel going higher, there's no telling what sort of "water down" tactics the oil companies are going to engage in.
