Exchanging the seats onto their tracks would not work either (different size, different type).

I would strongly advise you against any adaptation or DIY variations. Seats are designed to hold you in place in case of an accident, so that the seat belt and airbags (if so equipped) can do their job of protecting you and your fellow occupants.

Not properly proven adaptations or variations on seat anchors and tracks can severely jeopardize your safety and that of others. Mercedes-Benz seats are famous for their integrity and above average safety.

Of course, this is JUST some friendly advise and my own 0.02 cents worth of opinion on the subject.
