The closest thing my '98 has to that is when I close the door after getting out of the car after driving with my headlights on, it leaves the lights on for 30 sec. If I want to change that feature I have to take it to the dealer for them to set. Sorry I don't know about the '99 but it should be covered in the manual if it has that feature. I have to say that my owners manual is the most detailed I have ever seen (never owned a MB before). Of course with all the little features and modes it has to be detailed!
