thats why your fluid is dark because the fluid circulates even in a closed system. Its called fluid dynamics.
I'm confused. What is the driving force that circulates fluid from the calipers back to the reservoir? The system has a dead end at each of the calipers. Last time I took Fluid Dynamics, fluids didn't circulate unless there was a flow path and a pressure difference. Replacing the reservoir fluid prior to bleeding the remainder of the system through the calipers may make sense to save time, but I've never bothered.
