I recently was *handed* a 83 300DT with 400k miles. Except for the blown motor (broken piston or rod), the thing is in great shape.

I just so happen to have everything I need to do a 4-spd manual conversion, so this will be the perfect mule to try it out. Now I just need to find a motor! I've checked all the local junkyards, and parts places. None readily available.

Does anyone here have a serviceable 300DT engine they're looking to sell. Don't bother responding if it's >$1000. That's my total budget for this entire car!
