When you pull the connector off the switch does the light go out? Could be corosion in the connector-happened to me on the washer level indicator.
Disassembled it and soldered in a new connector(other one broke on removal).

It seems to be an intermittent thing, so maybe it is just corrosion. I may try just plugging and unplugging the thing to see if it goes away. I am just happy it wasn’t actually leaking. Yahoo!
