sounds like

fuel filter to me too.

the beauty of carbs is that it is usually pretty easy to adapt another more easily maintained type, such as a weber or holley. do you have to go through emission inspections where you are? if not an older non emissions carb would be much easier to keep running, off road only of course.

also, didn t those troopers come with diesels too?
